Il m'a fallu très longtemps avant de croire au potentiel de cette chanson écrite rapidement dans le métro et qui ne semblait pas vouloir s'accomoder d'une mélodie accrocheuse. C'est seulement après l'avoir enregistrée et y avoir ajouté des cordes que j'ai été vraiment convaincu. Comme son refrain l'indique, cette chanson parle du sentiment d'être le seul à voir les ennuis arriver et aucune lumière à l'horizon.
It took me a long time to actually believe that this song had something interesting to offer. I had written it quickly in the subway, and I couldn't find a melody to go with it for weeks. It's only after the recording, when I started adding strings all over, that I was truly convinced. As the "chorus" says, this song is about feeling you're the only one to see the troubles coming and no solution to solve them.
